Might be splitting hairs here. but not against adding it
hereās a screenshot from USPSTF
If we do add it I think it would be better formatted w/ an asterisk in the text cloze "any* "
then add just ā100+ cigarettesā to the extra
This is interesting, i genuinely thought ever smoker was if someone ever smoked 1 cigarette before lol
Interesting, but might be a source of unnecessary confusion (not sure we need to know this for any exam)
agree with @herstein.jacob
Partly why Iām not sure itās necessary. The odds someoneās āever smokedā but less than 100 sounds like a very small margin. Itās almost like if youāve smoked one youāve smoked a 100.
(But I will admit when I first got this card I remember wondering what āeverā actually meant, I just didnāt care to go check )
Not sure if Iām missing something, but the card doesnāt mention ever smoker, right?
no it says Any which is like the same thing.
āany smoking hxā = āever smokedā
Ah okay, I get it
I donāt think Iāve ever encountered a question that mentions the number of cigarettes a personās had in their lifetime, itās always pack years, which Iām sure is waaaayy more than a 100
Thatās why Iām not sure if we should add this to the card, might cause extra confusion
yup
Just 1 pack year = 365 packs = 7300 cigarettes (standard pack is 20)
Because itās misleading otherwise. You really going to order that ultrasound on everyone who has ever tried smoking?
And call me crazy, but 100 cigarettes/5 packs isnāt confusing. Maybe eliciting if itās more or less than 100 by a meaningful amount, but thatās a patient interview problem, not a concept-is-confusing-problem.
Iād suggest adding it to the āTextā then? @AnKing-Maintainers
Per USPSTF, a one-time abdominal ultrasound is recommended to screen what demographic for abdominal aortic aneurysm?
{{c1::65-75 year old males with any history of smoking more than 100 cigarettes (5 packs)}}
This is definitely just something to add to extra, not needed in text
