I would prefer removing the hint - there is no real reason for it IMO and it diminishes recall (extremely HY to remember that smoking is a major risk factor for AAA)
My guess is the hint was added because people would say HTN, but correct me if i’m wrong on this largest risk factor between the two
Thoracic aortic aneurysm = HTN
Abdominal aortic aneurysm = Smoking
Specifically for rupture, think removing hint is fine. Generally, also understand it that TAA is HTN, AAA is smoking so HTN shouldn’t come into it
Support removing the hint altogether. Could preemptively add “Hypertension is associated with thoracic aortic aneurysms, not abdominal” to the Extra if we think it’ll be a common complaint.
