It looks like the original source for this was Pathoma. He says they’re famously hard to grow. AMBOSS says they cause <5% of native valve infective endocarditis but only mentions culture negative IE with Coxiella and Bartonella.
FA23 pg 318 has updated from our screenshot here to call HACEK gram negative, differentiating from Coxiella and Bartonella which they call culture negative.
Would rather update it so that it just says HACEK = infective endocarditis as that seems like the only relevant pathology
