NBMEs are, IMO, an awful source - the real answer is that you add both. Strongly favor AMBOSS and UW
So, I actually came across this later on AMBOSS (under management of Acute HF):
“For patients not previously on beta blockers, use cautiously and only once the patient has been stabilized.”
Also, under Adverse effects in the BB’s article
It talks about how BB’s Will worsen HF and should be held in the setting of Acute heart failure.
In the end, the overall consensus is that they all agree. “BB’s are contraindicated until HF is stable.”
Talking about treatment of CHF exacerbation (or CHF during exacebration) is very different from GDMT though - still disagree with change
