Edit: I arranged them incorrectly the first time lol.
Might end up causing reliance on order (all hyper first) rather than knowing which are higher vs lower based on concept itself
@Cameron I think you have a valid point. Isn’t that the point of the flashcard though, Especially the one by one? - To easily remember the mnemonic so you can get the q right on a test. I do think patterns like this are easier to remember, and this one actually plays to a known mnemonic.
Point taken! I don’t often rely on mnemonics but I see what you mean.
On reading this one, I usually think something like “what happens to electrolytes when a cell lyses?” rather than “what was the mnemonic for this again?”. To me the first question would be more helpful for the test as it demonstrates an understanding of the underlying concept and formatting this way would I think get in the way of my recall.
Let’s let some others weigh in on what they prefer though, there’s +/- to both!
@Cameron i think you’re absolutely correct. I definitely prefer the pattern of the electrolytes (all 3 elevated with the one decreased last). But generally, I’m dumb lol, so the simpler/easier way to remember is usually my preferred route haha.
