@Michael_B, I will disagree with this one. While altruism may anticipate the possibility of a return, the operational definition of altruism is a functional disinterest in personal benefit.

You are correct about regular altruism, which is defined as “unselfish regard for or devotion to the welfare of others.” I made this suggestion because the card is about reciprocal altruism defined as “altruism that occurs between unrelated individuals when there will be repayment (or at least the promise of repayment) of the altruistic act in the future (Trivers, 1971).”
