CDC currently say 13 to 64
Seems like this was based on the USPSTF guidelines for screening people aged 15-65 (here: Recommendation: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Infection: Screening | United States Preventive Services Taskforce)
They’re currently being updated, feel like we could keep this card as is for now unless we see a question explanation use the >13 cut-off
Keep as now but add extra field saying current USPSTF guidelines states screening 15-65 while CDC guidelines says 13-64 is appropriate?
We have a few other cards that mention numerous guidelines recommendations. My opinion is go with USPSTF in text but that’s just because i’m on FM rn ![]()
My feeling is that USPSTF gets tested more often when it comes to guidelines but I may be wrong
USPSTF is very strong evidence for NBME, would leave as is
