Amboss pathophysiology section on AR:
Regurgitation of blood from the aorta into the left ventricle (LV) leads to:
Increased systolic blood pressure and decreased diastolic pressure.

You may be thinking of LV end diastolic pressure which increases (due to the backwards flow), not the pressure at the aorta.
