Originally came from an interpretation of the Pathoma, hesitant to change things based off non-board resources per our submission guidelines but I see your point. AMBOSS says sigmoid colon is most common location for diverticula to develop in their summary. Not sure this wrinkle regarding which diverticula are complicated by bleeding is important enough to be board relevant
Maybe extra could say
“- Diverticula typically arise from left colon, though diverticulosis complicated by bleeding typically arises from the right colon
-versus angiodysplasia, which typically arises and bleeds from the right colon”?
classically for board-related purposes, its in the left colon, I’m hesitant to change this as this will cause more confusion, even if its technically correct. want to see what uworld or amboss state regarding this

FAS2 2023 pg 232 says “Predominantly left-sided in western countries” so would leave as is. @Ahmed7
