:crown: AnKing MCAT Deck Update #11 (August 10th - September 10th)

A mile wide, and a few miles deep, into the fall semester and a subsequent update for all you MCAT-takers and medical-hopefuls :stethoscope:

:white_check_mark: Deck Updates

Many Moons, and a few MCATโ€™s, since the debut of the deck on AnkiHub and we have a plethora of well-driven stats for you:

:tada: 70,360 note updates!

:woman_health_worker: :man_health_worker: 22,446 total subscribers!

(weโ€™re averaging numerous updates every day for years now and still going ever-strong upward and onward :flexed_biceps:)

:construction: Projects

:art: Illustration Projects

Weโ€™ve added more illustrations, diagrams, and annotated images than you can shake 8-11 sticks at!!

Thanks to @ahmedafifi and others.

If youโ€™re interested in helping make great illustrations or diagrams or annotated images for the MCAT deck (like the ones you see below), please send an email to brian@ankihub.net.

We neeeeeeed new images, and all help is welcome :mending_heart:

The team pushed pretty hard over the last 12 months to bring a lot of big updates, and weโ€™ll quickly summarize some of what weโ€™ve managed to put together for you:

๐Ÿƒ› New Cards!!

After a very long process of going back over the deck, identifying areas where we can add more information, close some gaps, and help make the deck even more comprehensive and useful for all you doctors-to-be, weโ€™re proud to have rolled out a healthy dose of new cards.

This project took a lot of time, and happy to unveil it now. Give it a gander, and hopefully weโ€™re looking at that many more 520+'s on the near horizon. :flexed_biceps:

:stethoscope: Informing Future Doctors High-Yield Tags

Tagging via the Informing Future Doctors High-Yield MCAT book are now live in the deck, meant to be used alongside the IFD High-Yield MCAT book, and excited to hear and see how folks make use of it and any feedback yโ€™all have :flexed_biceps:

:school: AAMC Content Outline Tags

Weโ€™ve recently wrapped up tagging the entire deck via the AAMC content outline categories, which offers a subject-level tagging system independent of resource-based tagging which has historically been the norm. Aside from the subdecks, these tags should allow users to peruse via AAMC foundational concepts, skills, and topics independent of third-party resources.

Please let us know what you think!

:books: UWorld Textbook Tagging

This has been in the quiver for a while, but happily done tagging the existing deck via the UWorld textbooks. :magic_wand:

It only took several months of effort, but it is now in the books (literally). Please let us know if you use them, find them useful, and please always feel welcome to reach out in any way.

:memo: UWorld Question Bank Tagging

Tags by UWorld QBank is still 95+% complete. There may be a few stragglers here and there, so if you notice a card that should be tagged, and isnโ€™t, please feel free to make a suggestion: How to suggest a change to AnkiHub

Submission guidelines for tags, and anything else, can be found here: AnKing MCAT Deck Submission Guidelines

:helmet_with_white_cross: We Need Your Help!

The MCAT deck always benefits from contributions from the user base! If youโ€™re interested in helping to tag, or create useful images, please reach out; many hands make light work!

If youโ€™d like to lend a hand, or be a contributing effort in the process, please send us an email: brian@ankihub.net
