:stethoscope: Informing Future Doctors High-Yield Tags

Very happy to announce that the AnKing MCAT deck has undertaken, and now completed, tagging the deck via the Informing Future Doctors High-Yield MCAT book to add another resource into the coffers. The tags are live in the deck now, meant to be used alongside the IFD High-Yield MCAT book, and excited to hear and see how folks make use of it and to have another option for all the MCAT-takers and their test-taking needs. :flexed_biceps:

:school: AAMC Content Outline Tags

Yet another option in the works to continue to build on what is already an extensive, and always-growing, deck and tagging system we have also begun tagging the AnKing MCAT deck by the AAMC content outline.

This work is currently underway, and we hope to have it wrapped up later this month, which should give the deck a subject-level tagging system independent of resource-based tagging which has historically been the norm. Aside from the subdecks, these tags should allow users to peruse via AAMC foundational concepts, skills, and topics independent of third-party resources.

A key detail here is that, since resources vary, no single resource may cover every conceivable detail of any given topic and, thus, cannot be expected to be 100% comprehensive. However, because these tags are topic-specific, rather than resource-specific, they do necessarily cover every single card in the deck. This is a great way to make sure that you’ve covered all of the material that there is to cover, and be confident that you’ve left no stone unturned in your efforts. :flexed_biceps:

Please let us know what you think!

🃛 New Cards!!

This one has been a long time coming, but we’ve recently started a very long process of going back over the deck, identifying areas where we can add more information, close some gaps, and help make the deck even more comprehensive and useful for all you doctors-in-waiting.

The AnKing team has gone back through all of the most common primary resources (Kaplan, Khan Academy, UWorld, etc.) to identify any topics, concepts, terms, etc., that could be included to help make a great deck even greater. This project has taken a lot of time, but you might expect to see some new cards added to the next in the next month or two to help round out, and strengthen, the deck overall.

:books: UWorld Textbook Tagging

Super happy to report here that, as shared in the last update, we are officially done tagging the existing deck via the UWorld textbooks. :magic_wand:

It only took a few months of effort, but it is now in the books (literally).

:memo: UWorld Question Bank Tagging

Tagging by UWorld questions is 95+% complete. Some UWorld questions are passage-based or self-contained and so not all questions can necessarily be tagged (for example, CARS questions). That being said, we’d love to get that up to 100% so if you notice a card that should be tagged, and isn’t, please feel free to make a suggestion: How to suggest a change to AnkiHub

Submission guidelines for tags, and anything else, can be found here: AnKing MCAT Deck Submission Guidelines
