July 2025 (please read) *EDITED*

Hello everyone! July announcements regarding the Ankor deck:

  • Many images are appearing broken on some users local app. If you encounter this, please replace the image before making a suggestion, utilizing the source (which is hopefully given…) in the extra section. If it is difficult to find the image then you can make a suggestion with “MISSING IMAGE” below the missing image.
    – SOLUTION: Instead of saving images then dragging them from the folder, try taking a screenshot of the image and pasting it into anki OR using the attach button. I will update the wiki to reflect this change.

  • We suggest focusing your energy on adding images and adding current guidelines. Please ensure the image shows the pathology / anatomy accurately! Many Core sections are accurate but do not reflect the most up to date guidelines which give a more practical application to our studying. In recent years, Core has become more focused on practical concepts and alignment with guidelines rather than niche cases and “aunt minnies.”

  • Please limit formatting suggestions to critical changes that change the meaning of the card or are fixing obvious errors in formatting such as extra lines or broken lists.

  • We are working on title uniformity, do not make title suggestions.

  • We have decided to add cards to the physics section rather than use a separate resource. The physics content lacks context significantly but the content is accurate and testable. We suggest using multiple resources to study for physics.

Thank you for your many contributions. Please continue to share the deck with other residents!

When we make edits to a card in our deck does it update it for everyone?

@janniec No, only if you suggest those changes and they get accepted by a deck maintainer, then they will be updated for everyone.

Otherwise, editing them locally for yourself will not cause everyone to get the changes. However, those changes will be overwritten if they are done in an unprotected field. See more about protected fields here: 🔐 Protecting Fields and Tags
