Please delete my account

At first I was neutral about the transfer of ownership, but everything I’ve seen here, not least the inability to easily deathorize/delete makes me very concerned for the future of anki

You can absolutely have your AnkiHub account deleted; it’s just not a self‑service button yet, which is understandably frustrating.

To proceed:

  1. Submit a deletion request to AnkiHub Support

    • Go to: https://app.ankihub.net
    • Use the in‑app support / contact form or email the support address listed there (the team processes GDPR/CCPA-style “right to erasure” requests and can delete your account + associated personal data).
  2. What happens to your Anki data

    • Deleting your AnkiHub account does not delete your local Anki collection or your AnkiWeb account.
    • You can safely uninstall the AnkiHub add‑on from Anki afterward (Tools → Add‑ons → select AnkiHub → Delete).
  3. Deauthorizing access

    • If you’re concerned about “deauthorizing”: after account deletion and add‑on removal, AnkiHub no longer has a valid token from your machine, so it can’t sync or access your Anki data anymore.

I agree the lack of a clear “delete account” button and the transfer‑of‑ownership communication can make trust harder. If you’d like, you could also add in your support request that (1) you want full account deletion, and (2) you’d like confirmation when it’s completed.
