Request to Delete Optional Tag

Hello!

I’d like to delete an optional tag called “delete_this_tag_later”. I originally created it when I was first experimenting with the tagging system. Believe it or not, I planned on deleting it later after I was done with it—but didn’t realize I couldn’t do it myself. Would I be able to have it deleted?

You can’t delete optional tags yourself at the moment, but the AnkiHub team can do this for you.

I just tried searching the forum and couldn’t find an existing request for this specific tag, so the best path is:

1. Keep this topic open – you’ve already provided:

   • The exact tag name: delete_this_tag_later
   • The deck extension link: https://app.ankihub.net/deck_extensions/668/details/

2. Wait for a staff member to process it – AnkiHub staff / moderators have the necessary access on the backend to remove optional tags tied to a shared deck. They can safely delete it without affecting your other tags or cards.

3. If you don’t get a response after a bit, you can:

   • Add a short follow‑up reply here, or
   • Tag a staff member/mod if that’s customary in this category.

In the meantime, the tag is harmless to leave as is; it won’t interfere with your other tagging, and you can simply ignore it in your own workflow.
