I wanted to show support for this suggestion, despite the sketchy clip only suggesting onychomycosis. AMBOSS seems to suggest that tinea capitis is an even strongr indication for oral terbinafine than onychomycosis, which could be initially managed with a trial of topical antifungals.
@AnKing-Maintainers
This is also mentioned on nid:1543421392197
(could combine these 2 cards?)
Could add ‘AKA the extremities’ to this card as well
the card you mentioned (nid:1543421392197) is not tagged with #firstaid meaning it was added for step2. I think we can merge, will take care of tags too. send to slack.
Don’t think these are really dupes - nid:1543421392197 is testing on the indications for oral (rather than topical) antifungals. This card is testing one specific drug.
Yeah makes sense
I do still think we should add tinea capitis to this card, as it is a dermatophyte infection that requires oral management
