To be as concise as possible, something like this might work for the extra section: “Introns are removed during mRNA splicing, leaving only exons. Since cDNA is synthesized from mRNA, it contains only exons.”

Support from Kaplan Biochemistry Chapter 6.5 for this suggestion just to be thorough:

“cDNA (complementary DNA) is formed from a processed mRNA strand. cDNA is used in DNA libraries and contains only the exons of genes that are transcriptionally active in the sample tissue.”
