@Ahmed7 @Cameron @thomas.holmes @Sameem @zarathustra @Eli.Tanenbaum @shmuelsash - indifferent, but lean towards reject for simplicity
Strongly support; person first language should be adopted throughout the deck. Also for alcohol we should get rid of “alcoholic” on all the cards and replace with “with alcohol use disorder” or “in alcohol use disorder”
support since we are moving towards having this kind of language in the deck
Yeah I agree. I also stated this before in a previous suggestion of mine but weight categories should also use person-first language since they are medical conditions with specific BMI brackets (30+ for obesity and 25-29 for overweight) we should treat rather than character descriptions. Eg a patient “with obesity” rather than “obese patient” or “patients with overweight” rather than “patients who are overweight.” Weight conditions are relapsing remitting metabolic disorders, like lupus is a relapsing remitting autoimmune disorder. We don’t call patients with lupus “lupetics” or “loopy patients” because their condition isn’t their fault.
I’m leaning more towards keeping it simple, single words as the other two (elderly, women). I understand language would be more inclusive otherwise. If it was a single cloze then definitely would support the change.
