Support with some changes to the treatment section
- The original card suggested using steroid injections for persistent symptoms, which is correct. The current card implies that steroids should be used from the start, which is slightly inaccurate
Suggested change would be “Conservative treatment (e.g., NSAIDs, splinting) with glucocorticoid injections for persistent symptoms” (without the US guided part, and we can keep the part about why steroids can be effective)
I dont see the point of having both the GIF and second image (from the original note)
So the changes I had made to the treatment section was based off the link for the source.
Glucocorticoid injection is listed as the first thing conservative treatment with Surgery listed as the next step. NSAIDs and splinting is listed underneath conservative treatments as well but only after glucocorticoid injection (so my initial impression is that they serve as either ancillary treatment options or for those who have very minimal symptoms) but I think the way you typed it up in the quotes can work as well.
The only reason why I felt the need to add US was because of that picture off of Cureus making the whole ordeal look much more serious than it is, so I put US guided in the hopes that it may be seen as an elective thing not any urgent surgical need. But I will make those edits and remove that third photo and I assume then it should be all good to go?
I am not an expert but there is a change in the HTML code in your suggestion (i opened another suggestion with the same changes for comparison)
Otherwise, I’m okay with the change, but we need more votes before we can proceed with it (It’s fine if it takes time as it’s a busy few weeks for everyone)
