TBH, original seems fine to me. You could have a PDA that wasn’t persistent, but yet acute, and then shuts off. Maybe I’ve always read this card wrong, but how I’ve read it is “NRDS increases risk for PDA to not self resolve.” ![]()

Yeah, it’s all semantics at the end of the day. AMBOSS defines PDA as “failure of the ductus arteriosus to completely close postnatally”. By that definition, if a PDA “doesn’t persist,” as you put it, it was never a PDA to begin with…just a DA that was in the process of naturally closing
