Would have to check the UWorld question that this is based on. AMBOSS says that both anaerobes and aerobes can cause aspiration pneumonia. Specifically it says:
“Gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria predominate in community-acquired infections (e.g., S. pneumonia, S. aureus, H. influenza, Enterobacteriaceae).
Gram-negative bacilli predominate in hospital-acquired infections (e.g., P. aeruginosa, Klebsiella spp.).
Mixed infections with anaerobic organisms may occur (e.g., Fusobacterium, Peptostreptococcus, Bacteroides).”
I think maybe we could check the QID and see what context the pneumonia is occurring in; I think if anything that may be more beneficial to clarify the context of the pneumonia. If the card isn’t based on the question then I think the change is ok.
