Hi AnkiHub team,
I’d love a feature that lets users customize the pre‑populated questions in the AnkiHub AI chat.
Right now, there are default quick prompts like:
- “Explain the topic like I’m five”
These are helpful, but I’d like to:
-
Edit existing prompts (e.g., change “Explain the topic like I’m five” to something that fits my learning style better)
-
Add my own prompts (e.g., “Summarize this in one high‑yield sentence”, “Compare and contrast this with [related topic]”)
-
Optionally reorder or pin my most‑used prompts
This would make the AI chat much faster and more tailored to different users’ study styles and decks (e.g., different fields, levels, exam types).
Possible implementation ideas:
-
A simple settings panel (in the add‑on or web app) where we can:
-
Add/edit/delete prompts
-
Save a list of custom prompts per user
-
-
Maybe include a few default prompts but allow users to override them
Thanks for considering this! I think this would be a small UX change with a big impact on how efficiently we can use the AI assistant.
