Ankihub "Complete Your Profile to Continue" Freezing

As of today, April 7th, 2025, when I go to open anki on my computer, I get a “Complete Your Profile to Continue” window that appears, however I can only click and edit it for about one second before it freezes and I can see a second window pops up in my main anki window saying “the following add ons have updates available. Install them now?” I think these two messages appearing are conflicting with one another, but at this point the whole app is frozen and I have to force quit. See images attached. Any help with this or bug fixes would be greatly appreciated thank you.


You can work around this for now by opening Anki while pressing shift, then installing updates from Tools > Add-ons > Check for Updates and restarting Anki.

@jack_hedberg I know this is solved for you, but to help us investigate what’s causing this, can you use the AnkiHub > Help > Upload logs option and post the filename shown?
