AnKing deck won't show up after download and Ankihub won't stop attempting to sync

As of yesterday, I subscribed to Ankihub and attempted to download the AnKing V12 overhaul deck to use along side an Anki deck that has been handed down through my school class. The download and import of the content seemed to be working, however, after the files were loaded, I noticed that they were not displayed on my “deck” page. All that I could view on my home screen was my school deck. However, when I went to “browse” and looked through the content, the AnKing files appear to be there. So, in an attempt to get them to appear, I pressed the “sync” button, but then a prompt opened up and stated that the decks that I have currently and the AnKing are too different to sync, and that I would have either upload or download content again from Ankihub. Now, everytime I open Anki, I am given this same prompt and it won’t stop attempting to sync (and it takes a long time to sync).

As a side note, I downloaded the Zanki deck about a year ago and still have the deck. So, I’m not sure if this is what the issue is.

Sorry about the long post and thanks for your help

Did you press upload when the prompt came up?

I believe I did initially. I selected whichever option that would allow me to import the AnKing deck from Ankihub, but now, whenever I hit “sync,” it keeps asking me that question. So I’m not sure what I did wrong.

Try clicking upload, then it shouldn’t come up again. This only occurs if you press download, as it will keep reverting to what you had your anki decks previously

So I’ve now tried both (upload and download) and it seemed to work. However, when it syncs, its incredibly slow and it says its “checking” over 60,000 cards. Should the upload take a few hours or is that too long?

Your first initial upload will take the longest since its syncing so many images and cards, after that it will be really quick. its just the initial one that takes the longest.

I hope that answers your question!

Great! I will give that a shot. Thank you again.
