Decks wont load

I bought the anking overhaul and am subcsribed to these decks, the decks don’t seem to load. I bought the mastery course and only the practice desk shows up. Even though when I sync it seems to download.

Hello!

Have you logged into the AnkiHub addon and clicked sync and when prompted, clicked on “Upload to AnkiWeb”?

it says downloading updates then no new updates

Please try resetting your local changes. To do this:

Go to browse in your Anki → at the top click on ankihub addon tab → press reset all local changes

This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has unless you have specifically protected those fields

That brought back the overhaul deck but there are no sub decks or sections

This is intended behavior. AnKing V12 does not have subdecks. The reasoning for this can be found in our wiki

You can go to browse → tags on the left hand side → find #AK_Step1_V12 → select a card → unsuspend it. You will now be able to see a card on the front screen

Thank you for your help. Sorry Im in the middle of the anki mastery class. I see the tags on the side. Why does it say your “database appears to be inconsistent”?

If I wanted to create a deck with specific tags how would I do so? Create a filtered deck and…?

If it says your database is inconsistent.

On your main screen in Anki, go to tools → check database → this should correct the issue

To create a deck with specific tags, you would first:

  1. unsuspend the cards with the tag you want to do
  2. Click on the AnKing deck
  3. At the bottom click custom study
  4. Then click study by card state or tag
  5. Pick new cards only (if you have not done them before) or click (due cards only) if you have done them before
  6. Click Choose tags
  7. Click Require one or more of these tags
  8. Find the tag you want to do and click on it, it should turn blue
  9. Click Ok

I did that and selected several of the tags as shown in the photo below

also using this method, will it create a seperate deck or just a one time custom study deck?

Something has gone wrong in your collection (Not sure whether it’s caused by AnkiHub because we never got reports of this before). Anki creates such decks when it detects cards in the database belonging to non-existent decks. You can move the cards to a single deck from the browser and delete those recovered decks.

Did you unsuspend the cards first before you did this?

It will create a custom study deck that acts like a separate deck, it will stay as long as you want it

Thank you, I wonder if I am missing something here. I go through the tags and literally select everything cardio related, and it only pulls up 25 cards. Same thing for renal, 16 cards. I had to have selected 15 plus tags for total for each deck I made. Why am I not getting more cards? Again thanks for all your help

If you select the tags from the browser’s sidebar, how many cards show up? And how many of them are new cards? Can you post a screenshot? I just tried it with the default limit of 100 and it pulled 100 cards for me.

I used this method to create the deck that you listed:

unsuspend the cards with the tag you want to do
Click on the AnKing deck
At the bottom click custom study
Then click study by card state or tag
Pick new cards only (if you have not done them before) or click (due cards only) if you have done them before
Click Choose tags
Click Require one or more of these tags
Find the tag you want to do and click on it, it should turn blue
Click Ok

I counted, selected overall 16 tags, but only 25 cards fell into the deck, which I thought was odd given that that overhaul deck has like 27k cards or something and with 16 tags i thought I would get more tags

Can you see my last post? I looked at the other thread and it didn’t answer the question on why more cards weren’t pulled in after clicking only on multiple tags. Appreciate your help

Can you name 5 tags you are selecting, then tell us how many cards are in each of those tags?

Also can you let us know if you have done any of those cards before? Are they totally new? Take as many screenshots as you can so we can help you diagnose the issue

Thank you, these are all the tags, they can be seen in the bottom right corner of the screen. All the cards are new, I have not done any of the deck before.
