Introducing the AnKing Lab Values Deck
We’re excited to introduce the free and official
AnKing Lab values deck!
With reference ranges from the NBME, this deck will help you improve your pace on questions that reference lab ranges, as well as keeping you more proficient on the wards. So you’re not left guessing whether a sodium of 132 is low, normal, or high
This project started as a personal initiative by Ahmed Khudair to create an AnKing-style lab values deck and has since grown into a collaborative effort by the Step deck maintainers, with custom hand-made illustrations by the lovely Mujeeb Mohammed
.
This deck is completely free and will remain free forever on AnkiHub.

Project Progress
Physeo Media now available!
The Physeo team has graciously allowed us to sync their media in the Physeo field and the changes are now live (no file import needed!)
If you do not see them, you have most likely protected that field. Perform the following steps to receive the media
- Make sure to unprotect the Physeo field on the AnkiHub website
- Then reset local changes

Dupes
More duplicate cards have been deleted and merged, this helps you by decreasing the overall card burden in the deck (a huge thanks to our maintainers, @schralp and @jwill)
New TrueLearn Tags Project
Some of you have requested TrueLearn QIDs to be added into the deck, we are currently recruiting volunteers who would be interested in helping out with this project!
Skin of Color Project
The Skin of Color project, alongside Ian Sellars and Ahmed Khudair, will have a designated project lead helping out, please welcome
Mari Yasumi
!
“Hello! My name is Mari, and I’m a first-year medical student at Tufts. Through my previous work at a large community hospital, I cared for patients from diverse backgrounds and often struggled to find accurate visual references of dermatologic conditions in people of color. This led me to begin outreach to dermatologists to help expand these resources. I’m passionate about increasing representation in medical education and helping future providers feel more confident caring for diverse populations, and I’m excited to take a lead role in the Skin of Color project to continue these efforts.” - Mari Yasumi, M1 at Tufts
As a quick overview, the Skin of Color Project is an initiative dedicated to addressing disparities in medical education by improving the representation and recognition of dermatologic conditions across diverse skin tones within the Step deck.
If you’d like to be involved, feel free to reach out and we can get you started
And a huge thank you to the following volunteers: @mari1, @wilsondong41, @kasey_904
