Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine

Hello,
Is there available information that can direct me to cards based on topics or page numbers of the Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine book? (except of the usual tags)

And is there a way to include this information in the note types? I believe it could be useful if a card would have info like:
Page 2012 - Topic cardiology - Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine book

as its a very useful book for the clinical studies.

Thank you.

Hello,

If I know which deck it is that you are inquiring about it may be helpful in being able to answer your question/s.

Let me know, and happy to be of help however I can.

I am referring to the “AnKing Step Deck”

I’m not aware of any current plans to tag the Step Deck by any clinical textbooks (other than the existing FA tags), unfortunately.

Tagging takes a significant amount of work, and time, and so the limited resources available for that work tend to prioritize resources that will have the most uniform reach and that are highly specific to the Step exams, specifically. (FA, BnB, etc.). Individual clinical textbooks naturally vary in their scope, quality, and overlap with the Step exams.

Nothing is impossible, of course, and you can always add your own tags or details in your local collection as many folks do for any number of things (lecture notes, missed questions, etc.).

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.

Thank you,
What is the best way to add it to card so the card can still be updated but won’t erase the information?

It depends on the note type that you’re using. I presume you’re referencing the Anking deck and note type?

If so, the note type has fields that are there for essentially this purpose. Particularly the ‘Lecture Notes’ field and the ‘Missed Questions’ field are there to do with as you please, and Ankihub does not write to or otherwise modify them in any way so any edits you make will be perfectly safe.
