Best way to suggest/mark cards that need First Aid update

I have the new First Aid 2024 book and I’ve found some cards on AnKing that have content of older FA versions. I would be willing to take a screenshot of the new first aid info from scholarRX and put it in and suggest a card update, but the First Aid tab is one of the protected fields so i doesn’t let me suggest it with just that change.

What is the best way for me to mark the card for you fabulous moderators to update it?

For example - Anki id: 1484792831649

Hello,

Unfortunately because First Aid is a proprietary resource we cannot host those images on Ankihub. Some images may have been included in older media packages prior to Ankihub, but currently with copyrighted media we cannot host, or add, to cards that are hosted or shared.

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.

that is super helpful, let me ask a different question then:

If I find a card that the name for the disease state/disorder has changed, or the way it will be referred to on STEP1 has changed, how do I mark that card to be updated?

For example - Anki id: 1484792831649
This card calls it ā€œPersistent complex bereavement disorderā€ but from my understanding STEP1 will refer to it as ā€œProlonged Grief Disorderā€ based on first aid 2024 and my medical schools class content.

How do I mark this for you wonderful moderators to update the content based on current guidelines if I do not understand the intricacies of how to change a card for thousands of people.

For any given card, from either the reviewer:

Or the browser:

You can click on the ā€˜Suggest a change’ button and a window will open up in which you can suggest a change.

There are some guidelines for best-practice in terms of suggesting updates (if the update is content-related or factual it is asked that you include a source citation, etc.). A general guide to submitting suggestions can be found here: šŸ“š AnKing Step Deck Submission Guidelines

Once you make that suggestion it will go through to a moderation queue to be looked over by the deck maintainers for that deck. From there, it can be approved, rejected, debated, etc., which can take some time. Ultimately the final decision will be made by the team of maintainers/moderators and will take into account a lot of different factors that determine whether or not to push that suggested change out to however many tens of thousands of users there are.

Let me know if that helps, and if you have any other questions.
