Direct URL: How to add a card to a deck (Cloze deletion)

  1. The first step is to open Anki and click “Add”
  2. Click “Type” and select the note type you wish to use
  3. Click the note type you want to use. (For this tutorial, we are using the note type the AnKing cards are created from)
  4. Click “Deck” and select the deck you want this new card to go into
  5. Type in the name of the deck you want the new card to be added to
  6. Click on the deck
  7. Click “Choose”
  8. Type out the content you would like on the card (In this case we are using a cloze-style card)
  9. Highlight the first word or phrase you would like to cloze
  10. After you have selected what you want to cover, press “Cmd + Shift + C” to create a cloze deletion
  11. Highlight the second word or phrase you would like to cloze
  12. Again, you can press “Cmd + Shift + C” to create a cloze deletion
  13. Click “Add”
  14. Click “Exit”
