How to Restore Protected Fields on the AnKing Step Deck to Default

To restore the protected fields on your AnKing Step deck to their default settings as they appeared when you first subscribed, follow these steps:

Step 1: Unprotect the Fields

First, you need to unprotect any fields that you’ve previously protected:

  1. In Anki, go to Browse
  2. Click on the AnkiHub tab in the top menu
  3. Select Manage Protected Fields
  4. Uncheck all the fields you want to restore to their default state

Step 2: Reset Your Local Changes

After unprotecting the fields, reset your local changes:

  1. While still in the Browse view, click on the AnkiHub addon tab at the top
  2. Select Reset All Local Changes
  3. Choose the AnKing Step deck when prompted
  4. Click OK

This will restore everything to the state it was in when you first subscribed, except for any fields you still have specifically protected.

For reference, the AnKing Step Deck automatically protects these fields by default:

  • Lecture Notes
  • Missed Questions
  • Pathoma
  • Boards and Beyond
  • First Aid
  • Additional Resources
  • Physeo

If you need more detailed guidance, you can also check out the tutorial on managing protected fields in the AnkiHub documentation.
