Mastery course

New to Anki here. I created a AnkiHub account and purchased the Core membership to get the AnKing MCAT deck. Now I would like to watch the free mastery course (because I am confused which add ons I should get or settings to do for my three month study timeline using FSRS) and I go onto AnKing.com to try to access the free mastery course but it says it sends the course to my email but I am not receiving anything even in my spam and it keeps prompting me to Login but I never made an account on AnKing.com and don’t know how.

You’re running into two separate systems here, so the confusion is very understandable:

  • AnkiHub account + Core membership → used for syncing/community decks (like the AnKing MCAT) via AnkiHub
  • AnKing Mastery Course → delivered via AnKing’s email/course platform, not via AnkiHub

Here’s how to get the free Mastery Course working:

1. Make sure you requested the free course correctly

On theanking.com, the free course is usually delivered when you:

  1. Enter your name + email into a form for the free Mastery Course.
  2. You should then get an email with:
    • Either a “confirm your email” link, or
    • A direct access link / login setup for the course platform (often Teachable/Thinkific-type site).

You do not automatically get a course account just by having AnkiHub Core.

2. Since you’re not getting the email

Try these steps:

  1. Check for typos in the email you entered on the form. If there’s any chance it was mistyped, submit the form again carefully.
  2. Check:
    • Spam / junk
    • “Promotions” / “Updates” tabs (in Gmail)
    • Any “Focused/Other” inbox split (Outlook)
  3. Try a different email address (Gmail/Yahoo/etc.) on the form to see if that one receives it.

If you’ve already tried that and still get nothing: it’s almost certainly an issue on the AnKing course/email side, not AnkiHub.

3. Creating / accessing an AnKing course account

The course login is separate from both Anki and AnkiHub. Usually:

  1. You get an email with a link like “Create your password” or “Access the course”.
  2. That creates your AnKing course platform login (this is what the “Login” button on AnKing.com is referring to).

Since you never received the original email, that’s why you can’t log in yet.

Until the email problem is fixed, you won’t be able to complete that step.

4. Who to contact (this part is important)

Because this is an issue with course delivery / email, the best fix will come from the AnKing support team, not AnkiHub.

Do this:

  • Go to https://www.theanking.com
  • Look for:
    • “Contact” / “Support” / “Help” link, or
    • A support email (often something like support@theanking.com or a contact form)
  • In your message, include:
    • The email address(es) you tried
    • That you purchased AnkiHub Core and are trying to access the free Mastery Course
    • That no email arrives, even in spam, and the site just keeps asking you to log in

They can:

  • Manually add you to the course
  • Resend the welcome email
  • Help with creating a course login

5. In the meantime: AnkiHub + FSRS basics for your 3‑month plan

While you’re waiting on course access, these resources on our forum will help you get started:

  • Our Getting Started guide (installing AnkiHub add-on, connecting your account, etc.):
    ⭐️ Getting Started
  • Once the AnKing MCAT deck is subscribed in AnkiHub and synced in Anki, enable FSRS in Anki’s preferences and use:
    • Deck Options → Presets with FSRS enabled
    • Keep daily new cards and reviews realistic for a 3‑month intensive schedule (e.g. many MCAT users aim for focused sections per day rather than turning everything on at once).

If you’d like, reply here with:

  • Rough test date (month/day)
  • How many hours/day you can study

and I can suggest a concrete FSRS + daily-new-cards setup tailored to your timeline while you wait for Mastery Course access.

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

You should be able to click ‘Access Course’ here:

From there, it should bring you to courses.ankihub.net, rather than AnKing.com, for clarity

Once there, you should be able to click on ‘Forgot Password’ and the system there will send you an email. Due to server fluctuation, this email can sometimes take 15-30 minutes or so

Separately from there, if you’re trying to access something from theAnKing.com website, you may also want/need to reach out to them for support:

Please contact ankingmed@gmail.com regarding AnKing VIP subscription related issues

Give that a shot, let me know how you fare, and we’ll go from there and hopefully we can get you squared away.
