Hi Kcarter,
What you’re seeing is normal behavior in Anki. Decks are sorted alphabetically, which can lead to what appears to be “missing” numbered subdecks.
In Anki, when decks contain numbers, they are sorted in text order rather than numerical order. This means “10” comes before “8” alphabetically because the first character “1” comes before “8”.
From your screenshot, I can see the Public Health deck has subdecks numbered 1, 10, 2, etc. They’re all there, but they’re being displayed in alphabetical order rather than numerical order.
If you prefer to see your decks in numerical order, you can add leading zeros to single-digit numbers. For example, rename your decks to:
- “01 - [Topic]”
- “02 - [Topic]”
- …
- “10 - [Topic]”
This way, Anki will display them in the numerical order you expect.
This isn’t an AnkiHub-specific issue but rather how Anki handles deck ordering by default. All your cards are still there - they’re just organized alphabetically rather than numerically.
Would you like any further clarification on deck organization in Anki?
