Hello Everyone,
Thank you for using this deck and providing feedback to make it what it is today.
My original intent when constructing CCOM deck was - first self serving and then later to help those of you who come after me. I thought, if you summit a mountain the first thing you should do is pull the next person up.
With that said Max Sherwood has decided to take up my mantle and continue on with tailoring this deck to our pre-clinical and clinical curricula as my residency is scheduled to start in July.

I hope that you’ve found these cards helpful and that that I gave you all a little more time for yourself throughout this tough training process.
I think my largest advice to you all on how to get to the summit without losing yourself
is a quote from House of God, my favorite book about medicine (FYI this can book can be explicit at times):
At one point the young doctor is making a difficult personal decision, and hears the words, “Don’t spread more suffering around. Whatever you do, don’t spread more suffering around.” This is like primum non nocere-- first do no harm-- but it goes further don’t do more harm in your life. This is the basic human story. We are all on the same journey. Every one of us will suffer-- there’s no way around it. The crucial question is not how to avoid suffering, its how we move through it. If we isolate ourselves and try to gut it out, alone, we will suffer more. If we move through crucible of suffering with caring others, understanding will arise, and awareness. As a doctor, writer, a husband, a father, and a person. I believe in this power of mutual connection to heal, I believe in this spirit, this redemption. – House of God, Samuel Shem
