[Wiki] AnKore for ABR Diagnostic Radiology Core Exam by Ankore

  1. Yeah, should be fine.
  2. Hanging around those numbers for me. Don’t worry about it, there’s too many cards as is.

I found the solution. I noticed that the “additional resources” box was automatically open pretty much every time. Edit>cards>back template to pull up the script. Find the section shown below, toggle the “Core Radiology” line to “true”.

Found it SUPER helpful especially since I can keep my hands using the remote instead of having to reach for the mouse pad to toggle manually.

What happened to the deck? Everything was fine until today and now it looks like everything has been shuffled around? Now there are two separate “CORE” radiology decks with duplicated cards/chapter sections?

Seriously! So incredibly frustrating. My deck is completely screwed up. the changes I made to the cards personally were all undone and my intervals are completely jacked.

UPDATE: I had about 75 cards in the residual core deck that I moved into the new Ankore core radiology sudeck under “textbooks” using the change deck feature (command D). After that change, my Ankore deck makes more sense and there’s now only one Core radiology deck that falls under textbooks. hope this makes sense and helps

For me it still shows like 3000 cards in the original ankore deck with random chapters. This is seriously frustrating. Wish it could be undone - shouldn’t have been allowed for a big sweeping change like this.

what just happened.. is this kind of updating common? im new to ankore but all of a sudden i have these new cards and review cards… should i just suspend them all now or wait for ankore to fix.

Most of the 3000 were the entire MSK deck which had not been moved over. Now I tried to move the MSK cards to the new Textbooks CORE section, but none of them are organized by chapter now. What a mess. Considering just stopping ankihub sync altogether

Is no one having these issues? Expect this sub to blow up more.

Have you had any success rebuilding the subdecks?

Ankihub > Deck Management > select Ankore deck > Enable subdecks (toggle on and off)

The update was just restructuring the subdeck tags for further resources, which meant bulk renaming the tags for all cards. So all cards got an update pushed (Core radiology is now nested under Textbooks, for instance).

I apologize for the unexpected sync behavior.

Any changes made that aren’t in protected fields and aren’t submitted to the deck will get reset to the present Ankihub state if a card is updated in any way.

I recommend protecting fields that you don’t want updated going forward (or better yet, submitting suggestions if you want to). As far as the immediate issue, you can roll back to a prior local backup and protect your fields before updating. See the above comment about rebuilding the subdecks after you do decide to update/sync with Ankihub.

Rebuilding the subdecks has worked for me. Thanks!

Incidentally, I’m looking forward to the full set of Radiology Tutorials physics flashcards! I have found his videos to be the single most helpful resource for physics, where Core Radiology is obviously lacking. Having that show up in the deck was a pleasant surprise.

Ah, much appreciated. Yeah he’s the best, and I think cards will help solidify otherwise difficult to grasp concepts. A lot of radiology physics for residents is clustered/networked concepts and it’s hard to do that when you can’t even remember the name of things, let alone relationships.

FYI, trying out some scripts to improve the management of text below images, expect some breakage, will have fully operational within 24h.

March 3rd 2026.

The new update has disabled the mobile anki android. The closed deletions disappear with show answer button. Anyone else having this problem?

I am also having this issue since yesterday :smiling_face_with_tear:

Have you figured out anything to fix it by chance? or can the people who make these changes chime in?

It’s none of your guys’ fault, I pushed a script to production prematurely and and also locked out of editing the template through Ankihub. Please sit tight while you can — desktop still behaves more or less as expected although cards have many inherited < div >< /div > tags from being pasted in from the internet which messes with formatting (will go through and remove these after we fix the template). Some cards with whole text italicized also displays images wrong. So far the script adds the ability for text under an image in the Extra field to display to the right of the image (unless three consecutive < br > are present, then it displays below image. I very much apologize for the disruption in your studies. As a workaround I’ll publish the old back template shortly which you can manually place after disabling syncing in Ankihub.

If you could, please give clear step by step on how to use the old template for us anki noobs that don’t really know how to operate it well yet

Thank you for adressing this. If you don’t mind may I ask what is the cause of this “restructuring” update? If you would allow some constructive criticism I would focus more on adding new cards or more images from radiographics, AIRP, radiopedia, etc. as opposed to messing with the deck structure/organziation. I have continued to use the deck post restructing (desktop) and I do not see any meaningful advantage. I am just over half way through the deck and in my opinion there probably should be 2,000 or more closed deletions added. I often have a card with only 1 closed deletion to which I have to add more to really learn it. Now of course this may have been done on purpose to make the deck “yours” over time. Anyway, I am very grateful for the options to not have cards be updated via tags.

Has anyone faced issues with the iOS anki version not displaying the Ankore card answers from the latest update? My deck works perfectly on my desktop, but all of sudden, my cards are blank in the answers.

Update - disregard! I see that everyone else is already pointing out the issues.
