changed the video formatting slightly here so that it looked more organically in line with the mnemonic, instead of just having Watch âAbcdeâ, URMC Department of Psychiatry, via Youtube (1:23)
Video should be linked at the bottom, think this formatting disrupts the natural flow of the card
Got it. So basically leave the mnemonic as it was written and then put the videos at the bottom?
I put back the original text and left the video links
Wouldnât think we need a video for rigidity or high level of activity (that one is too long anyway); maybe not stupor either? The rest seem a bit more esoteric so Iâm ok with vids for them. Iâd also move echopraxia/echolalia to the same line since thatâs just the same video, itâs ok if itâs slightly out of order from mnemonic.
I think if weâre putting in videos for some of them it makes sense to have it for all of them and have it be in the order. The stupor video is good for context and completeness and showing how this stuff is actually graded on the BF scale
I couldnât find a video specifically for âhigh level of activityâ but they do have one for excitement thatâs shorter and is probably what is meant in the mnemonic
If others think theyâre necessary thatâs fine, just feel like thereâs no reason somebody in medical school would need a video in order to understand what we mean by rigidity or high level of activity. It looks appealing for it to match the mnemonic but Iâd prefer for it to be practical. Same reasoning for the echoâs to be on the same line.
I switched the high level of activity video to the shorter one
@herstein.jacob @beejumm @shmuelsash do we prefer the arrangement that @Cameron is suggesting or the current arrangement? I prefer current arrangement. Might potentially send to slack
This is how it would look on Anki
I would say having echolalia/echopraxia on the same line would be better, cause its the same video. Since the video links arenât right-aligned, we canât see the mnemonic in the video hyperlinks clearly anyways, so I think it would save everyone an extra click if it were together
I do think we should have videos for every finding, cause âI hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understandâ -Confucius
It doesnât hurt to reinforce what is already known + it might help someone who didnât know it before
Canât we just do them in one line, and seperate with , or ; ?
I think the current suggestion is fine. Can we push? @Anking-maintainers
Support.
Funnily enough, one of these video concepts / presentations came on my Step 1 exam and if it wasnât for the video you showed me @Eli.Tanenbaum, I wouldâve gotten it wrong because it was a step 2 card.
So one of the videos you added actually got me the right answer (and idk why the NBME are adding step 2 topics to the step 1 exam but I had a few step 2 focused topics in my exam)
@Anking-maintainers would like to push this by the end of the day if there are no objections
