hmm, ok so I can sync with ankihub w/o my stuff being overwritten? Iāve been avoiding any syncs for month because there were instances were it 100% reset already bulk suggested note changes and I had to restore them from an older anki backup once I realized but maybe that got fixed in some update since then⦠Iām honestly worried cause it happened several times but Iāll try, thanks for your help!
just out of curiosity, do you guys know what is causing this error message every time when bulk suggesting? Thatās been happening for months, for friends of mine too, and I always assumed it had something to do with the other bulk suggest issue
Also, there are more bugs like this during bulk suggest if you wanna investigate them or maybe there is some explanation for it.
2 devices after syncing on the same ankiweb account should be identical, right?
Because just now after syncing the same anki account on both devices, several times to make sure, when I bulk suggest the whole physiology pt 2 deck from my laptop I get 14 change note suggestion going through, on my other computer 6 get submitted⦠(however on the laptop it doesnt claim that 400 or so cards, the ones weve been investigating so far, are different on ankihub, they get marked correctly as error: no changes found.)
When I suggest my histology deck on the I get 6 edits that get suggested. I submit these without need for review so they should go through. Immediately I repeat the same action on the laptop again, now since these 6 were submitted it should show that all failed bcs theyre identical with ankihub, but it again submits 6 notes⦠same this on the other computer.
Another weird bug on the histology deck. when i bulk suggest everything on the laptop it claims that 18 notes dont exist on ankihub. on the macmini it al least suggests everything without saying that some notes dont exist.
You can see why I am hesitant to sync with ankihub again because I put a lot of time into updating some of these cards for my study group. Weāve now often just gone back to exporting certain updated notes the old fashioned way and having them update on import although that also doesnt always go so smoothly either. I love this system and I know for the in many ways it works really well but we really hope you can work out these bugs.
I assume this is the error you reported in your first post. Weāre aware of it but are not working on a fix yet.
I donāt think we got other reports of this. When you submit a change, you should at least see an error message. If you just sync with AnkiHub afterwards, your changes might get lost since they failed to submit. If you see this happening again, please send me your logs as soon as it happens. For now, I recommend just double checking whether your suggestions show on https://app.ankihub.net/ when you submit them. Last time I checked there were a lot of pending suggestions for your deck.
