Hello,
I would be happy to help. Can you help me understand what you mean when you say that the cards are disappearing?
If I press “again,” instead of going into the “learn” pile, it seems to disappear (as in my cards are consistently decreasing, regardless of whether I click “easy” or"again").
The problem is still there, but this morning, I noticed that those cards are now appearing in the “learn” pile again. The card seems to “disappear” for the allotted 15m, and then reappear in the learn pile.
Is there a way to turn off the feature, so that I consistently have a proper count in my learn pile?
There are a couple of options here.
For example, if you hit ‘again’ and that gives you, say, a 15 minute interval that card will reappear in 15 minutes. As soon as it’s ready, again, it will appear in the card count. If you prefer to have the card appear in the card-counter immediately, it will also be due immediately (these two things are intrinsically tied).
One way to change this is to change your learning steps. For example, if you want the card to reappear in your learning pile immediately you can set a learning step of 1s, or something.
The other way is to change your learn ahead limit. If your ‘again’ interval is 15 minutes and your learn ahead limit is set to 15 minutes, this means that your ‘again’ interval is functionally 0 minutes.
There are arguments for, and against, either option but those are essentially the paths you can take if you prefer for your cards to show up immediately.
For learning steps they can be accessed in deck settings. For the learn ahead limit this tutorial can walk you through how to adjust it: Adjusting the Learn Ahead Limit
Let me know if that’s helpful and if you have any other questions.
