AnkiHub Add On Not Working

When trying to download the AnkiHub add-on, I have been getting the following error message:

Error

An error occurred. Please use Tools > Check Database to see if that fixes the problem. I attempted this and it did not work

If problems persist, please report the problem on our support site. I was unsure how to contact actual ankiweb but thought that others may have had this problem and was wondering if someone can point me into the right directionPlease copy and paste the information below into your report.

Please follow these steps, this will fix the problem:

  • Start Anki in safe mode by holding shift while it is starting. This will temporarily disable all add-ons (until you restart Anki).
  • Delete the AnkiHub add-on
  • Install the AnkiHub add-on and restart Anki

This seems to be the same problem as here: AnkHub Add on not installing
