I just purchased an ankihub subscription today and subscribed to the AnKing Step deck by AnKing med. I was running into issues doing the media sync but was able to complete it on personal hotspot. However, the cards for the deck still wonât show up. When I try to sync with AnkiHub it just says âno new updatesâ. Iâve made sure Iâm logged into the same AnkiHub account, tried signing out and signing back in, and tried uninstalling AnkiHub and reinstalling. Iâm running macOS Tahoe 26.3.1, and my desktop Anki version is â¨25.09.4. Iâm at my wits end. I donât know what else to do. Please help me fix this issue or I would like to request a $66 refund. Thanks.

When AnkiHub says âno new updatesâ but you donât see any cards, it usually means AnkiHub is installed and connected, but the shared deck was never actually added/linked into your local Anki collection.
Please try these steps in order:
1. Confirm the deck is actually in your Anki collection
In Anki (desktop):
On the main screen, look for a deck named something like âAnKing Step Deck by AnKingMedâ (or similar).
If no new deck appears at all, that means the deck hasnât been imported/linked yet.
AnkiHub only syncs decks that are already linked to an AnkiHub shared deck. It will happily say âno new updatesâ if thereâs nothing linked, even if youâre subscribed on the website.
2. Make sure you actually joined the shared deck on AnkiHub
Go to the AnkiHub website and log in with the same account you used to buy the subscription.
Open the AnKing Step Deck by AnKingMed page.
Confirm that:
You see something like âYou are subscribedâ / âJoinedâ (not a button to subscribe/join).
If there is a Join / Subscribe button, click it, then repeat the sync steps below.
3. Link / import the deck into Anki via the AnkiHub add-on
In Anki (desktop):
Go to Tools â AnkiHub â Browse Shared Decks (or Manage Subscriptions, depending on version).
Find AnKing Step Deck by AnKingMed in the list.
Click Subscribe / Add deck (or similar).
Let AnkiHub:
Create/download the deck locally, and
Link it to the shared deck.
Once thatâs done, try AnkiHub â Sync again.
After this, you should see the deck appear on your main Anki screen with cards inside.
4. Check that youâre looking at the right profile
If you use multiple Anki profiles:
Go to File â Switch Profile and confirm youâre in the profile where you installed AnkiHub and subscribed.
Each profile has its own collection; if the deck is in another profile, it wonât show up here.
5. Refund help
Refunds and billing canât be handled directly via the forum AI. If the above steps donât get the deck working:
Please open a ticket or email AnkiHub support using the Help / Support link on AnkiHub, or
Tag the AnkiHub team in this topic so a staff member can review your purchase and, if needed, process a refund.
If youâre willing, reply here with:
A screenshot of your Anki main deck list, and
A screenshot of Tools â AnkiHub â Manage Subscriptions / Browse Shared Decks window
and I can help pinpoint exactly where itâs getting stuck.
OK I just realized the cards actually did sync; itâs just that theyâre all suspended. Is there an easy way to choose what to unsuspend based on the topic from the ankihub website?

Yesâthere is an easier way, and itâs built into how the Step Deck is organized.
For the AnKing Step Deck by AnKingMed:
1. Use tags to unsuspend by topic
In Anki, open the Browse window.
In the left sidebar, under Tags, expand until you see tags like things you want (e.g. system, cardio, neuro, etc. â the exact structure depends on how AnKingMed set it up).
Click a tag that corresponds to the topic you want to start with.
That will unsuspend only the cards for that topic.
The AnkiHub website doesnât currently provide a âclick a topic â autoâunsuspend in Ankiâ button. Instead, it exposes tags/fields, and you use those inside Anki to control whatâs active.
2. Use the Step Deckâs builtâin structure
The Step Deck is designed to be turned on gradually:
Many users follow AnKingMedâs recommended order (e.g. specific tags or subdecks for M1 systems, Step content, etc.).
On the AnkiHub deck page, look for:
A guide / description section, or
A link to the AnKing Step Deck instructions.
That guide usually says which tags/subdecks to unsuspend first (e.g. certain systems or foundations).
3. If you tell me what topic you want
Reply with:
The topic/system you want to start with (e.g. ârenalâ, âcardioâ, âFoundationsâ), and
A screenshot of the Tags list in your Browse window,
and I can tell you exactly which tags to click and unsuspend for that topic in this deck.
