AnKing Deck Page Formatting Issues

When I click into the AnKing deck to study, the buttons are formatted oddly. It does not affect functionality at all, but wanted to know how to fix this. Sorry if this has been asked before!

This is almost always caused by one of these:

  1. Window / zoom settings

    • Make sure Anki is maximized.
    • In Anki, go to View → Zoom and set it back to 100%.
    • If you’re on Windows, check your OS display scaling (e.g. 125%, 150%) – very high scaling can sometimes squish elements.
  2. Add‑on or custom styling conflict

    • Temporarily disable all add‑ons except AnkiHub:
      • Tools → Add‑ons → “Toggle Enabled” to disable all, then re‑enable only AnkiHub.
      • Restart Anki and check if the deck page looks normal.
    • If it’s fixed, re‑enable add‑ons one by one to find the culprit (screenshot helpers / UI theming add‑ons are common causes).
  3. Resetting AnKing Home Page styling

    • If you’ve edited the AnKing deck’s Description or added custom HTML/CSS for the home page, try reverting that to the default (from a fresh download of the deck or the AnKing instructions).
  4. Check database + restart

    • Tools → Check Database.
    • Close and reopen Anki.

If none of that fixes it, could you please share:

  • Your Anki version (Help → About)
  • Your OS (Windows/Mac/Linux + version)
  • A full screenshot of the window including the title bar and status bar

That will help narrow down whether it’s a scaling vs. add‑on issue, and we can suggest more specific steps.

Hello,

To fix this, at the bottom of that page you will see “Description”, just delete the text there and it will prevent this from showing up.

This is only present because you had a older version of the AnKing deck, it is no longer present on the AnkiHub version, which is why it causes weird formatting issues like that
