Reading: Why does my Anki interface look different when I am doing cards now?
Thanks for the screenshot—that helps.
What you’re seeing is almost certainly Anki’s new reviewing interface that came with a recent Anki update (especially if you recently updated Anki or installed it fresh). The main changes:
- The answer buttons (Again/Hard/Good/Easy) are now at the bottom with a different layout.
- The top bar (deck name, card info, etc.) looks more minimal.
- Some colors and fonts changed slightly.
This is a change in Anki itself, not AnkiHub, and your cards/decks and AnkiHub syncing will all work the same.
If you’d like to confirm or adjust things:
-
Check your Anki version
In Anki:Help → About(Windows) orAnki → About Anki(Mac).
Versions 23.x / 24.x use this newer interface by default. -
Try a different theme / interface size
Tools → Preferences → Appearance- Switch between Light/Dark modes
- Adjust User interface size if it feels cramped or too big
-
Check for interfering add-ons (less likely here)
If it looks broken rather than just “different,” try temporarily disabling add-ons:
Tools → Add-ons → Disable All, restart Anki, and see if the interface looks normal.
If you can share:
- Your Anki version, and
- Whether anything looks wrong functionally (buttons missing, can’t click, text cut off)
I can give more specific guidance tailored to your setup and AnkiHub use.
Hello,
I would be happy to help. ![]()
Without a bit more context, it’s hard to be sure. Can you help me understand what it is about your Anki interface that looks different?
Provided some info about how it’s different it might be a bit easier to be of help
