AnKing Optional Tags with Cards not in the AnKing Deck

I have my school deck tagged with our school’s tags. This deck contains both AnKing and school specific cards. I understand the premise of using “AnkiHub_Optional” so that AnkiHub can recognize the tagged cards. I am wondering if tagging our school specific cards (not in the AnKing deck) with the “AnkiHub_Optional” tag will cause any problems, or if AnkiHub will only recognize the AnKing deck cards?

I am trying to avoid having two sets of tags (one for the AnKing cards and one for the school specific cards) which would be identical except for the “AnkiHub_Optional” parent tag.
