I have an older version of Anking V12 deck that I downloaded a year ago.
I subscribed today to AnkiHub and tried syncing it to but instead of adding on to the new deck it simply made itself into another deck under the name of AnKing Step Deck(AnkiHub)
What is happening and how can I combine them?

I would be happy to help. 
If you go to your Browse screen, you should have the following tags present:
Together, these three tags comprise all of the cards in the updated deck. If you click on one of the tags, it will bring up all of the cards associated with that particular tag.
From there, you can hit command+A on a Mac (I can’t quite recall, but if memory serves I believe it’s control+A on Windows) and this will select all of the cards. From there, you can right-click and select ‘change deck’ to move them into whichever deck you would prefer.
Repeat this for all three tags and you will ensure that all of the cards for the updated Anking Step Deck are in a single location.
