:police_car_light: Emergency Medicine Shelf Tag Project

New Emergency Medicine shelf tag added. Currently a work in progress. This will make it easier for students who have an EM Shelf to study and prepare for it, without having to comb through various tags trying to find relevant ones. They are currently consisting of the following tags (huge thanks to @musamalik for helping out!):

We need your help! If you’ve taken an EM Shelf, which tags were useful and necessary? Please add this tag to relevant cards and we’ll accept them: #AK_Step2_v12::!Shelf::EM

Below are some examples of what tags were used to make the EM shelf tag:

#AK_Step2_v12::#Subjects::Surgery_&EM::03_Toxicology
#AK_Step2_v12::#Subjects::Surgery
&_EM::03_Burns
#AK_Step2_v12::#OME::06_Surgery::02_Trauma

All endocrinology tags have been updated to match the new website hierarchy. 2 new categories (anesthesia and ophthalmology) have also been added. Further updates to other categories will follow soon!

:artist_palette: Illustration Projects

Tons of illustrations, diagrams, and annotated images have been added! A few are shown below. Thanks to @ahmedafifi, @beejumm, and @MarcosZan!

If you want to help make great illustrations, diagrams, or annotated images for the Step deck (like the ones you see below), send an email to ahmed@ankihub.net

Also, we want to know what medical concept you struggled with, even after learning the content and doing the flashcards, and wish to be visualized through an illustration/diagram? Please comment or send us a message and we’ll consider it for the future!

I Followed the steps to a T but the deck only shows 5 cards not sure what is going on

Hello @oayoola1,

Make sure you unsuspend the cards first. (tutorial: Selecting and Unsuspending Cards by Tag)

If you have un-suspended more than 5 cards, then your new card limit might be very low or set to 5. To fix this:

  1. Click the gear icon next to the AnKing step deck
  2. Click on options
  3. Go to new cards and set the new card limit to 9999
  4. Click save

Hello, which decks should I primarily use for PANCE studying. It looks like there are a couple. Should I use !PANCE Or #PANCE

Hello,

The #PANCE tag is the official AnKing one. The !PANCE may be from another deck

Thank you!

Thank you so much. Any more news on updates coming from FirstAid Step 2?

@AryaVas First Aid step 2 tags are fully completed

Hi! I can see the new illustrations from update #18 in my deck, but I can’t find any from this latest #19 update. Are they not “out” yet, or is there something I’m doing wrong to update? I already tried “reset local changes” and “media sync”…
Thank you!

They haven’t been suggested yet. I will try to get this expedited!

Great! They are wonderful by the way. I love drawing biomedical diagrams/infographics too (2D only, no 3D skills alas), and these are very inspirational <3

Hello! I do not have the EM tag under the Shelf drop down. How do I access that?

Hello,

Try resetting local changes and see if that fixes it: Resetting Local Changes
