I recently downloaded the Anking note type add-on to get TTS abilities. However, on my mac, the voice is a robotic, raspy voice that is hard to understand. On my IOS mobile anki, there is a normal voice and no issues. I think this has to do with the new Tahoe MacOS. I’m currently on MacOS 26.0.1 and Anki version 25.09.2.
