I have been having a similar problem to what I have read here about how notes would update but the actual card would not update -
I followed the advice on that post where I reset all local changes. When I synced and the screen cam up about download or upload - I downloaded from AnkiHubb. Doing this I lost the scheduling for the cards I have done over the previous couple of days - about 1500 cards. I reverted to a backup deck before this change and in my attempt to fix this the next time syncing I pressed upload to Ankihub. Now when I reset local changes and download the cards are not updated from ankihub. Am I out of luck now that I uploaded my cards to Ankihub or is there a way to get the updated cards?

Let’s start at the beginning: what updated cards are you hoping to obtain?
Thank you for the response! I am wanting to get the updated cards from ANKING. As you can see from my picture the “Extra” is updated but the card itself is not.
From the looks of it, you have nearly all of your fields protected. This is why the cards will not update.
In order for Ankihub to be able to update your cards, the given fields you would like to have updated will have to be unprotected. Otherwise, Ankihub is, by design, unable to write to those fields.

Great I did not know that was a feature. Unfortunately, after I unselected these and synced from Anki on my desktop cards have still not updated.
