How do I re-sync with ankihub after editing cards?

I edited a couple cards not knowing it would prevent me from syncing with AnkiHub. I want to stay subscribed to AnkiHub updates. Is there a way to merge these decks back together and continue getting updates? There are only like 30 cards in the AnkiHub deck right now. I don’t want to lose my card progress. I am okay sacrificing the progress and small edits I made on just a couple cards and submitting suggestions in the future or adding protected notes.

Merely editing notes shouldn’t prevent you from syncing. Ankihub will automatically overwrite your edits after syncing if there are made to unprotected fields. If the fields are protected, you have to unprotect them to get updates to them.

Okay but I am asking for a solution to my issue. Right now when I sync with AnkiHub it downloads a second deck with suffix (AnkiHub). This second deck only has like 30-40 cards in it which I assume are update cards. How do I go back to a single deck that is updated with AnkiHub syncs?

This seems like it should work. When I went to do this my current deck was already selected but I confirmed it as the destination for new cards so I will see if it works next time there is an update to the deck. I also changed the deck of the ~35 cards in the (AnkiHub) deck to my current deck and then deleted it.

I am still experiencing this issue.

Can you go to AnkiHub > Help > Upload logs and post the filename shown?

I have been changing deck for the few updated cards in the (AnkiHub) deck to my normal deck each time it updates and then deleting the (AnkiHub) deck, so it is not currently present if that matters.

Can you try this?

  1. Move all cards from your original deck to the β€œ(AnkiHub)” deck.
  2. Delete your original deck.
  3. Rename the AnkiHub deck to remove β€œ(AnkiHub)”.

I suspect the issue is that AnkiHub is being unnecessarily picky about the internal deck ID.

I did this and with the next sync the same problem is occurring.

Does moving all cards to a new deck and deleting the old two make a difference? Make sure to also set the destination deck to that new deck.
