I wanted to ask If i delete unused notetypes will this mess up with ankihub sync these notetypes are not being used yet but maybe in future if they are used will they automatically get downloaded?

If they are truly unused note types, you should be able to safely delete them. If they are note types that are used in a current deck, deleting them may not be a great idea.

If, say, you delete them and then a week, or a month, from now you install a new deck that uses one of those note types they will be re-installed alongside that deck (naturally).

As with anything, it’s probably always safest to make a backup before making any wholesale changes. You can make a backup from your top menu bar within Anki: File - Create Backup
