When attempting to remove optional tags from a note and resubmit via “suggest optional tags” > I get this notification. Wondering if it is possible to have the lack of optional tags “overwrite” existing optional tags on a specific note if I wish to remove them.

So if I understand this correctly, you want to make an empty tags submission and the expected result is that this will remove all optional tags from the given note.
