Feature Request: Discard suggestion for all users

A “discard suggestion” button for all users on their own posts should be implemented

There are many times where users comment on their own suggestions, saying “not sure how to delete, please if you see this, discard this suggestion”

I feel like it would make sense to let all users have an option to discard their suggestions, or at least letting the “stale suggestion” feature just get incorporated with “user deleted suggestion” so then a maintainer can easily know to just delete it

This would also cut down slightly on the total suggestion queue

Thoughts?

bump. A button that would alert a maintainer when viewing the suggestion that the “author of suggestion has requested deletion” would be nice and not make suggestions “permanent” if you make a mistake

Would be really nice feature :slight_smile:

I suggest to completely remove them and not even include them in the “closed” suggestions. If the author doesn’t think it’s a good suggestion why waste time reviewing it?
