I recently followed the instructions on Notion to upgrade from v11 to v12. I used Ankihub to “maintain” specific fields: Pathoma, Boards and Beyond, extra, etc because I wanted to keep their old media.
Then, I deleted cards marked with the v11 tag and cards marked with both of the !DELETE tags (1 under Step 1 and the other under Step 2).
I now have ~29,300 cards but on AnkiHub, it says that there are 28,711 notes for v12. Why is there a difference? Are there just more cards I should delete? If so, which tags?
Those cards are probably some cards from V11 potentially. Its okay to have some variability in the cards you have, if you are doing a card and you cannot view it on AnkiHub, then that means it was a V11 card
For example, I have 34,000 cards because there are some V11 cards I have not deleted yet, but Ive removed the V11 tag so Im only doing V12 cards on AnkiHub
To be sure you have all the correct cards and nothing is missing you can do the following
Please try resetting your local changes. To do this:
Go to browse in your Anki → at the top click on ankihub addon tab → press reset all local changes
This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has unless you have specifically protected those fields
Thanks for the quick response, Ahmed! When you say that you are “only doing V12 cards on AnkiHub”, what does that mean? Does that mean that you are doing card reviews on the website rather than from Anki software?
And to clarify, I have 35,000 cards for all of Anking, with ~27,000 for Step 1. Is that roughly what is expected?
Lastly, is there a full list of which tags we should use to delete cards? I deleted all of V11 and !DELETE.
No I am doing card reviews on the Anki software. What i meant by “only doing V12 cards on ankihub” is that i am only doing cards that are still on ankihub. For example, if i have a V11 card, when doing reviews, the button on the bottm left is greyed out. This means that t is not on ankihub.
So I am only doing V12 cards, cards that can be viewed on AnkiHub. I hope that explains it
For your second question, yes that is roughly what it is. Once again if you are ever doubtful, doing reset local changes will make sure you have the right number
Yes, all the !DELETE and V11 cards can be deleted, that’s about it.
Super sorry for not getting back to you, I knew I was missing a post but couldn’t find it for some reason. Appreciate you bumping the post
